Junior Choir Program
The Junior Choir Program is a community music program sponsored by Pilgrim Lutheran Church . The choir is made up of student members and friends in grades second through eighth. At this time, the choir will practice on Tuesdays from 5:00-5:45pm. The choir regularly sings in the 11:00 AM Worship Service. Its musical selections range from classical to contemporary religious songs.
The Junior Choir program teaches every child proper vocal technique and the ability to read and understand music. Every rehearsal our choir members play rhythm and ear training games that develop their musical abilities. Many of the choir members go on to be music leaders in High School and many have been music majors in college. And, the strong friendships formed in past choirs have lasted for decades!
Besides Monthly Sunday Services and special concerts, the Junior Choir is well known for its musical productions. Past musicals have included Oh! Jonah, Moses and the Freedom Fanatics, Godspell Junior, and American Ideal.
