Annual and Recurring Events

While we often have special events, there are several events that are held annually or on a recurring basis here at Pilgrim. These events are cherished by our members and have become part of the yearly tradition of many of our neighbors. As the time of year for each event comes closer, please check back for the new date each year.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is a free family event that includes crafts, games, prizes, food, and, of course, egg hunts! In case of inclement weather, there is plenty of room to hunt indoors - but we have been extremely fortunate with the weather over the past few years. Rain or shine, there is always a fabulous turnout! This event is traditionally held the Saturday before Easter.

Talent Show

The Pilgrim Youth in Christ (PYC) host an annual Talent Show and dinner. This is typically held in late Spring (May) or very early summer (June). No auditions are necessary, and all types of acts are welcome. While the Talent Show features Pilgrim members, there is always space for several non-members’ acts. This is a fun, lighthearted night where people have a chance to perform in front of a friendly, supportive audience. And, the food is fantastic as well!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is our free, week-long summer camp. This is a fabulous week of fellowship, art, music, recreation, snack, and more. VBS is designed for children ages 3 years (potty-trained) through 5th grade (rising 6th-graders). Each year, the camp is centered around a different theme that is woven throughout all of the activities. The specific summer week varies from year-to-year, so please check back each spring to see when it will be offered.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is a free community event held in Pilgrim's parking lot where car trunks are creatively decorated and filled with goodies! This fun-filled afternoon also features an enormous bounce house, face painting, food, beverages, crafts, and more. Trunk or Treat takes place rain or shine, as there is plenty of space indoors to transfer all activities (including the bounce house) if needed. This event is held mid-to-late October each year.

Children’s Christmas Program

The Children’s Christmas Program takes place at the beginning of the second or third Sunday in December. Each year’s program is unique, and children of all ages participate (along with some young adults and adults). The congregation enjoys supporting Pilgrim’s youngest members as they sing, act, and read during this retelling of Jesus’ birth!
