Every rehearsal our choir members play rhythm and ear training games that develop their musical abilities. Many of the choir members go on to be leaders in High School and many will be music majors in college.
The Instrumental Music Program is a community music program sponsored by Pilgrim Lutheran Church for talented middle-school to High School Students. Each week students are assigned chamber works and instrumental solos to perform for both Sunday Services and special concerts. Students are coached by leading Washington DC conductors and members from the Kennedy Center and National Symphony Orchestra.
Student Musicians gain experience by performing for audience members each week which helps enable them to perform later on in other public settings. Students also gain experience performing a wide range of music from Classical, Broadway and Christian rock standards.
The Ensemble rehearses and performs every Sunday at 10 AM -12PM. Additional Chamber group instruction is on Wednesday evenings at 5:30-6:30 PM.
